Special Educational Needs

In school we hold a SEND register identifying children with additional needs which mean they require support above and beyond that of their peers. All staff are fully aware of each child's needs and many have received training to support them. Each child on our SEND register will have a One Plan identifying targeted support.  These are reviewed throughout the school year.

We have close links with local SENCos, the specialist teacher team, Speech and Language and Educational Psychology services.  We currently support children with a variety of needs such as: ASD, Speech and Language difficulties, ADHD, Hearing Impairment, social and emotional needs and general Learning Difficulties.

Further information on the school's SEND arrangements can be found in the SEND Policy and SEND Information Report.  These policies can be found on the policies tab on our school website.

The SEND Policy for the school is reviewed regularly.  This review is undertaken by the SENCo of the school in consultation with all staff.  The policy is reviewed and ratified by Governors.

If you have any concerns regarding your child, please speak to your child's class teacher in the first instance.

We use a SEND identification flow chart within the school to show clearly to parents/carers how children access the support services across the school and how the decisions by the school team are made.

Mrs Allen is the school SENCo, and she can be contacted through the school office or via Classdojo. Mrs Newland is also currently undertaking the NPQ SENCO qualification.
