w/c 20th March

This week, rather than focusing on a specific reading, we thought about the Christian celebration of Mothering Sunday.

Mothering Sunday is a Christian festival which is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent.

On Mothering Sunday, Christians celebrate mothers and others who care for them.

Prayer for the week:

Dear God,

Thank you for all the mums and carers in the worlds who look after us and keep us safe.

Please help us to show our love and appreciation.

Thank you that we all have our part to play in caring for the world and the people in it.

Please help us to always say thank you to those who care for us, and to show our appreciation through our actions.

Amen.

Song for the week: School Lent Song

In school:

We thought about the fact families can look very different, but everyone has someone that cares for them.

All the people who care for us have different qualities, different likes and different dislikes. No two people are the same.

Mrs Newland set us a challenge to say thank you to someone different every day this week.

Questions to think about at home:

Who are the people who care for you?

Who has had the influence for good in your life?

If you were not so busy, who would you like to spend more time with?
